Standard Trading Conditions

Governing the contractual relationship between SAAA members and their customers — approved at the 51st AGM on 11 November 2025.

What are the Standard Trading Conditions?

The Standard Trading Conditions (STC) define the contractual framework that governs the relationship between SAAA members and their customers. They establish the rights, responsibilities, and liabilities of all parties involved in the carriage of cargo, ensuring clarity and consistency across the airfreight industry.

Adherence to the STC is a condition of membership with SAAA. All members are required to incorporate these conditions into their contracts of carriage and make them available to their customers.

The STC 2025 was approved at the 51st Annual General Meeting on 11 November 2025, following a comprehensive review by the SAAA Council and legal advisors to ensure alignment with current industry practices and regulatory requirements.
